Karen L. Comisi, RDA, CDA, FADDA and her husband John C. Comisi, DDS, MAGD have been in the dental profession for over thirty five years. They owned and operated a successful private general dentistry and dental sleep medicine practice until 2017, when they moved to Charleston, SC.
It was at that time that Dr. Comisi received an appointment to the Medical University of South Carolina, James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine, where he is an Associate Professor of Restorative Dentistry in the Department of Oral Rehabilitation. He is the Course Director of the College's Operative Dentistry II Course which teaches adhesive and esthetic dentistry. He is the Chair of the Oral Rehabilitation Department's Dental Materials Committee and he is the Infection Control Office for the College of Dental Medicine.
